Had Catfish and Grits, Waiter was great! Very friendly place to eat. Customers including me seemed relaxed and happy to be there.

Food was great! We ordered patty melt, fries, country fried steak, pancakes, BLT, and biscuits and gravy. Best patty melt ever! Pancakes melt in your mouth! Community Coffee good and fresh. We will stop again on our way through.

Best service we had during our entire trip to Louisiana! Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. She anticipated every thing we could have possibly needed. The food tasted great and well priced. Next time we come through we will surely stop here again.

My hubby and I are moving to the area and were exploring. We like to check out local eateries. I saw this place. Wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. They feature a full breakfast and lunch menu, served all day, everyday. A la carte items available and even sundaes, malts, and pie. So, I ordered the Cake and Eggs. Comes with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, 2 bacon. Normally I have to send back the bacon because it is either raw or burned. Was in shock when the plate came: perfect eggs over medium, perfect bacon, perfect pancakes. Am I in the Twilight Zone! Will be going back often, I recommend you do the same.

Pretty good breakfast place. I had eggs with catfish and the catfish was excellent. The over easy eggs could have been better cooks since they still had liquid whites. My buddy got the pecan waffle and said it was amazing. My other buddy got the Awesome Omelette and he said it was exactly so.

Met up with an old friend that I hadn't seen in years. They were patient with us as we too forever to order and hours to leave. The food was good, the aesthetics were on point for a classic diner, and the staff was GREAT!

This place is a class act. Friendly staff, old fashioned good diner food. As well as a solid cup of coffee. We'll definitely be back when we vacation again.

I came in wanting a burger. Well, I tell you I was more than satisfied. I definitely recommend eating here. Worth the trip and your stomach will not regret it.

This Diner is one of the best Diners I've been too!! My first time experience here and I love it!! My husband and I ordered the Catfish and grits platter with eggs. The Catfish was so fresh and mouth watering, and the grits was perfect to my taste buds!! Keep the cooks happy😀 Big Easy because we're coming back✅ see you guys soon. Would be much better with better service. They can bring a glass of water as you look at the menu. Take the drink order , then come back to take the food order. Waitress forgot my salad completely. Food is good. Looks like only one cook.

The atmosphere has that classic diner vibe. The staff are very nice and always checked on their customers. The burger I ordered was cooked the way I liked. Even ordered an over easy egg to put on top. The breakfast is ok and is overpriced for what you get. Omelette was bland and the jarred mushrooms didn't really help. The pancakes were plain. Tasted like Bisquick pancakes with less flavour. Adding some vanilla to the batter or use of buttermilk would of helped. Placing the plastic bottle of syrup kinda dampened the diner feel for me. Sausage links look, taste, and texture are of the microwavable variety.

Absolutely awesome hamburger! Cooked just like I asked and served with a smile. Will definitely make this little diner a normal stop.

Such a vibrant, lively dive on a Sunday morning! Quickly seated, waitress was so pleasant and attentive, and the food.....oh my! So good! Steak and eggs...PERFECTLY PREPARED!! So happy we found this place! Terri is one of the best waitresses I've ever had!

My husband and I went to eat brunch, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly, and the food was stellar. I got a roast beef poboy with onion rings, and my husband got a big breakfast. Hands down, best roast beef and onion rings in slidell. My husband said the breakfast was amazing because everything tasted so cooked fresh and was made well.

Potions are large & the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely return & recommend others!👍

Food was pretty good. I just love the old time theme. The place is clean, but worn down. It has gotten better over the years. It's not busy and very relaxed. The people servers and costumers alike are all friendly. Mostly older people. I do love the Big Easy Diner though!

FOOD WAS GOOD SERVICE OK TIME TO RECIVED FOOD SLOW

We had a great breakfast. Our server was great. The kitchen was short 2 cook's. Which made the wait longer than normal, but it was worth the wait. Chicken (tenders) and Pecan waffle was very good. The Diner Special was also very good. Great stop for breakfast. If you're pulling a trailer, turn down Malbrough Street . We parked on the grassy area next to the car wash and walked over.

The food was tasty, but both my daughter and I were sick a few hours later. Not positive it was from our dinner, but that was the only food we ate in common that day.

It’s crazy when you get told we closed and you kno they open it’s all good though I guess my money wasn’t good enough for them.

Good comfort breakfast food. All the usual you expect from a diner and well done. Sundays can have a surge that requires a little patience.

Don’t accidentally park here with your family. They will call and report you to be towed. However parking along the street does not say customers only just an FYI and parking was still available. Wasn’t a very friendly first impression of LA, and we only stopped for a few minutes to care for our dogs in the 80 degrees and grab food. They must not enjoy the competition from the very busy business next door? All we needed was 10 minutes, sheesh. What’s happened to kindness? And yes I’m not very kind in this review. I’m sure they might have great food but I guess this family will never find out.

little bit of retro vibe and it reminds me of greese theme. The theme of the resteraunt looks very nice! It likes I’m in a different world. Back in time where theres neon light, electric guitar on the wall, the seat, and everything about it. This is perfect place to dine in with family. Our waitress is very prompt. She checks on us and makes sure we have the best service. My plate is about $12. At first I thought it expensive. When the waitress brought our food, for me, it was a very big meal. I would come back and try more food. :) (I will proofread this review soon. I know I mix the present and past tense xD )

If I could give it 6 stars I would. The wait staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and comes out quick and hot! And this place is super clean for the amount of business they get through lunch and dinner rush. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and food! Low prices for the huge servings. The waitresses are extremely friendly and make you feel like you are home and Mom was serving the meals.

Family owned and operated by far best customer service I've ever seen in a breakfast place. It shows by being busy everytime I go. It is a good business model of how all restaurants should be especially breakfast. Waffle and IHOP need a lesson from this place

Server was super cool & funny, she had all the jokes & fast friendly service! The line was out the door & it literally took us 5 minutes to get in & be seated !! I'll definitely be returning to this location when we visit again for st. Patrick's day weekend 🤗

The food was great I had to keep asking for a refill but the food was excellent I give my hands up to the cook now the service really didn’t hold up bud what’s the fabulous

My friends and I really enjoyed our breakfast. Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive! We tried to leave her a generous tip but she refused! The little she did accept she split with the kitchen staff!!! We cant wait to visit next year!!!
